Family,
Well I don't really have that much news this week either since we just barely talked. But it was great to talk to everyone. my companion's parents didn't call him that night and neither did his brothers. So that kind of ticked me off. We had to go to a member's house a few days later and he called them and talked to them for like 10 minutes and was done. I dunno it's just a different culture in America I guess from the latin world. But I guess I'm just really lucky to have such a great family who supports me so well.
I'm going to try to send some pictures today, but maybe a little bit later. we just got back from playing soccer on the beach all morning, and I didn't know we were going directly from the beach to the internet place. So I will have to come back when we have a little more time today and send some pictures.
But playing soccer was super fun. It was with our whole district and my team was unstoppable. haha there is this sweet little soccer/basketball court right on the beach in my area, so we played there. the ocean was really calm and pretty this morning.
Changes are this Wednesday. We should have known where we were going yesterday, but I guess President is changing the changes right now. So we still dont know where anyone is going. I think my companion will leave but there's a slight chance that I might have to leave La Ceiba. I hope I stay here and I think I will. But they should call us later today and tell us what's happening. We will see. I think I'll just have to tell you where I end up next Monday. sorry.
So I don't like tamales right? Well Christmas day I got absolutely bombarded with them. I just felt crappy pretty much all day. I'm so glad I don't have to eat anymore until next Christmas. Hopefully by then I am in love with the food and like the tamales. freak.
Thanks for all the gifts and everything. I really felt loved with all the stuff I recieved. and thanks for sending my comp something, he loved it. He tells everyone about how he got something.
So yesterday I had to give another talk in sacrament meeting. Except this time I didn't know about it. They just asked me 5 minutes before it started to give a talk in place of someone that didn't show up. So that was a fun experience for me. It actually turned out pretty well and I did a pretty good job with it. Everytime I need the gift of tongues the Lord blesses me with it. I know I'm never alone in this work. I'm constantly being helped along the way.
On Christmas we found a cool investigator. When we knocked (or yelled) her door she was crying really hard. She said we wouldn't understand her problems and that she couldn't talk. So we told her we would come back another day. It was really sad. So the next day we felt impressed to return to her house. We went and she was excited to see us. We went in and we just talked to her for a while. She has a lot of problems. She told us that she doesn't really want to live anymore and she's thought about ending her own life many times. But she never does because she has 3 little girls who are really cute. She's only 30 and she has 12, 10, and 4 year old girls. She has no husband or boyfriend either. Well she just doesn't feel like God listens to her prayers and she is lacking in faith. But she told us that she was impressed that we showed up at her house 2 days in a row. So she thought that maybe God had heard her. We taught her the plan of salvation and she really enjoyed it and cried a lot more. She seems really special. But yesterday we went to her house and her little girl told us that she is in the hospital, so we are not sure what happened and I hope everything is ok.
Well that's all the news for this week. I'll talk to you next week hopefully from La Cieba.
Love you all.
