Hola familia mia,
Sounds like everything in the family is still great. Mom, I don't feel real bad for you having to shower with cold water for a while. Actually me and Elder Brown got tired of showering with cold water last week so we finally figured something out. We went and bought this little water heater thing that we plug into the wall and then stick the end of the cord into the bucket of water that we have. haha pretty sketchy I know but it warms our big bucket of water up in about a half hour, so we now shower with nice warm water. But this week has been really hot. When it rains it's a little cold, but mostly I'm just wet all the time. You can't stay dry when it rains here, it's impossible. It will leak into every house and every piece of clothing that you have.
This week we had interviews with the president, so that took up the whole day. President Cruz is a really cool guy and I love to have the interviews every month. We also had to run around and do interviews in a few districts for baptisms, so sometimes we have to put our own work on hold for a while. My comp is also trying to solve a problem with a companionship here in our district. These Elders are childish and are on the verge of "killing" each other, so there's a chance of an emergency change this week. Hopefully they can figure things out there.
This week was really good and we have been really blessed this week by the Lord. Yesterday we had 12 investigators at church, so that really made us excited. We found a cool couple this week that needs to get married. I'm sure they will be baptized and married in these next months. This guy is really cool, he will be a good leader in the church. Yesterday he loved church and told us about some dreams he has had. This guy receives like revelations. He was telling us about one dream about Jesus and he described what he was wearing and stuff (a white robe and a red sash and stuff). So I pulled out a picture of Jesus in my gospel art book from the church and he said that's exactly what he was wearing. This guy has never been involved in church before so it's impossible that he's ever seen a picture like that before of Jesus, but he's really spiritual and he's cool. This next month we should baptize a lot of people. we just need to get a lot of papers for marriages. We could possibly baptize over 10 people. I'm excited to see what happens with them all and I really hope I get to stay here for one more change.
Other than that we have just been working really hard. We need to work a lot harder this next week because right now we have a lot of people that we are teaching, and it seems like the majority of these people we have to teach at night. So our nights are really busy. luckily our cook is super awesome. We usually don't have time for dinner anymore, so she almost always brings us our food to our house at like 10 pm.
We are still trying to balance our 2 wards, I guess both of the bishops feel like we should work in their ward more. So the mission president had a conference with all the bishops here and he told them that we will work in the ward that helps us the most. So basically it's a competition now haha. But in a way it's really good because both wards know that they have to give us references and help a lot or else we will just go to the other ward and work there. So we have actually been receiving a lot of references lately from the members. we are going to teach a lot with members this next week.
Well that's about all for this week I think. Sorry if this is a boring email. I love you all and thanks for all the support.
love
Elder Mason Cardon
