This week has been super hot again. I know I keep saying that but every week seems hotter and hotter. it's weird when you sweat at night even with a fan right on your face. But it's all good. I'm getting used to it. I wanted to ask mom about my shoes. I think I remember there was a one year guarantee or something. They are starting to fall apart and ripping a little. So I don't know what we can do about that. I guess it means I have a little bit of time in the mission if my clothes are starting to fall apart.
But this week was really cool because we FINALLY baptized and married Pedro and Ingris. The mother of Ingris came down on Tuesday and we took out the papers on Wednesday. Then Friday we married them and Saturday morning we had the baptism. The ward was pretty excited about it too because everyone knows how hard we have worked for them and all that has happened to them. They were really excited at their baptism and really grateful. You can really see a change in them now after their baptism. It's the first time I've seen so much relief on someone's face as I saw on the face of Pedro after his baptism. He said he felt so clean and free. He has really been weighed down for a long time because of his sins. It was really amazing. They will be good members and they now want to work hard to go to the temple. I'm super happy for them.
Basically we just focused all our efforts on them this week and getting that all done. But we found some really cool new people. we found a cool black kid this week of 16 years. He really likes to play basketball and he's really cool. We taught him and all his cousins one night and he seemed really interested. Then we went back to him and he said he received an answer about Joseph Smith and when he prayed he got the chills and knew it was true. So he's really tight. We also this week found 2 cools girls that are like 23 and 25 years old. We were contacting and saw this house with a ton of Catholic stuff in front and Virgin Mary stuff all over the lawn. haha but we decided to contact it anyways because even the Catholics need the gospel haha. Anyways they let us in and they are super intelligent and are studying to be lawyers. But they really liked the message and we are going back with them tonight. So we will see if they are cool.
I'm excited to talk to everyone on Mother's Day coming up. I will probably not be in La Ceiba though. I have been here for a long time with E. Brown so I'm pretty sure I will have a change the week before Mother's Day. I'm excited to see where I will go. But that's all for this week. I hope this email isn't too boring. I will make the next one more exciting.
